QOTD - “If the dream is a translation of waking life, waking life is also a translation of the dream.” - Rene Magritte

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have finally seen Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince numerous times, and I thought maybe I should mention it since I made such a big deal about it being put off :P
I actually went on the eve of the 14th / morning of the 15th I went to the midnight showing with some good friends we dressed up and everything it was so much fun, apparently our costumes were very good because we had total strangers come up to us and ask for pictures with us lol
Lucky for us we got the total geeked out theatre, lots of crazy HP fans in costumes. The row behind us had dressed up as well and they had a draco and a Lupin so me and Charlene took pictures with them and discussed Harry Potter and surprisingly star trek for about an hour and half before the movie started.
Then the lights dimmed and the movie I had been waiting for for 2 years began at long last.
I still have mixed feelings about it, the acting is top notch in this movie Tom Felton, Rupert Grint, and Alan Rickman Steal the show. Tom Felton is my hero, he's so wonderful! I will marry him one day :P
But other than the acting .. it's not the best... I hated the way they did the plot.. it's Director David Yates.. They need to get rid of him he sucks. I can't believe they kept him after the travesty they call movie 5. Oh well I guess beggars can't be choosers... but still...
Anyways now to look forward to movie 7.1 & 7.2 Although I don't know how they're going to get any of the plot going in those movies since they skipped so much in movies 5 & 6.
But For the Potter fandom there is something that I think is better than movie 6 and that is "A Very Potter Musical" Starring Darren Criss it's up on youtube.com on the user name StarKidPotter it's the best thing I've ever seen. I laughed my ass off, no , I still laugh my ass off every time I watch it. It is amazingness. (So if your wondering what the title of this journal means.."Rumbleroar"... I suggest you check it out.) Charlene will probably come over soon and watch it with me, we both love it so much. Anyways I guess that's all for now...
Pigfarts Pigfarts here I come
Pigfarts Pigfarts yum yum yum.
p.s. on a totally different rant of fandom
It kind of really sucks when I obsess over something that nobody I know has heard of, but that is why I can rant to myself. So Here I go, off on another tagent !
I am currently obsessing over this musical called "Elisabeth" , my new goal in life is to find a full version of the 2005 Vienna production of "Elisabeth" starring Matè Kamarás and Maya Hakvoort with english subtitles.
I love love love Matè Kamarás so much as Der Tod (Death) He is wonderful!!! My Favorite Der Tod by far is him
My Favorite Song in the musical is:
♫ Wenn Ich Tanzen Will(When I want to dance)
Brilliant piece of music! love it so much I even have a fan made english version of it, it's not as good as the german one of course but it does make signing along easier
I also really love the ending song:
♫ Der Schleier fällt (The Veil Descends)
Also a wonderful piece of music but then again most of this musical is, I just love the emotion at the very end with the Kiss of True Love/ death going on and everything. Being the emotional sappy romantic that I am I get a bit of lump in the throat when I watch it. (No matter who's doing it whether it's Uwe or Mate :P )
Anyways I'm trying to figure out how to get my hands on a copy of the 2005 Vienna production with English subtitles (though I doubt there is one) Right now I'm contemplating getting the Special edition DVD that doesn't have subtitles and just subbing it myself with the help of my Mother who speaks fluent German.. I'm desperately regretting never learning it for myself. Oh well even if I don't understand whats going on half the time it would still be nice to see the whole thing, the emotion and the wonderful music and acting is just so amazing! It's very inspiring in a way.I only wish I had half of the talent these actors possess.
end rant.
Star Treks, X-Mens, and Dinosaurs OHMI!
Journal Entry: Sat May 9, 2009, 2:16 PM
QOTD - ""You don't know who killed you?" Selwyn asked in horror.
"I was asleep, you dumb twit. It was the middle of the night, and it was dark, and"--the bat beat at Selwyn's hand with its wings, as though forgetting that it had wings, and not hands--"if you had looked before starting all this, you would have seen that I was stabbed in the back."
HEYO DEVS
so it's been awhile so here I go with an up to the date!
STAR TREK IS TOTALLY EPICTACUALR. holy moly cows batman it was good. I have now added it to the list of my favorite movies of all time. Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov is so adorable! hehe and he was Charlie Bartlett which makes me even happier. and oh Zachary Quinto, liked him in Heroes. LOVED him as Spock. I mean Spock is my fav star trek character anyways ((Live long and prosper Leonard Nimoy!) But Zachary just brought such new awesomeness to the character. All in all it was pretty much the most epic movie I've seen in years.
But Wolverine was AWESOME. not epic like star trek... but awesome! and I love how they through Emma Frost in there with Scott, it like made my life. 'Cept then I remembered the killed Scott off in X-3 and then I got sad. Now... Gambit... Gambit ... Gambit... my fav x-men... *sigh* ... he was good... but not great. A little bit disappointing, I was. the accent, the mannerisms, the way he looked. It just didn't blow me away. I guess nothing can live up to the way` I imagine my fav characters but still ... yeah, I just need more than Taylor Kitsch was giving... (hehe that sounded a wee bit dirty)... but Taylor Kitsch is dang sexy though.
oh and if your wondering about the dinosaurs I've been on a huge Jurassic Park kick this week a long with Star Trek and X-men. So it makes for pretty intense dreams.
I've also been reading books by vivian vande velde.... my dreams are like super cool horribly scary acid trips I assure you.
anyways that's it for today.
Live Long and Prosper DevFriends.
My Sub. is going to run out in a week *tear*
but onto other happy news.
I will be gone from March 11th till March 20th. I'm going back to California, wow time does fly I can't believe it's been a year since my last trip.
Anyways I'm very excited cause this time round I will be seeing "Wicked" on Broadway which is going to be sooooo epic.
anyways point being I won't be on DA for awhile.
Other Random Shhhtuff:
Currently Reading: The looking Glass wars (Book 1 & 2) Anyone else read them? they're pretty okay.
I also finished reading The Never Ending Story by Micheal Ende. UUUHH-MAZING book everyone go read it... NOW! Seriously it was quite deep. and waayy better than the movie. Btw I saw on Perez that their re-making the movie. I have yet to decide how I feel about this.
I saw Watchmen the other night. I'm going to go against the grain and say it was MEH. just blah. I wasn't blown away by it, but then again I wasn't like a super fan of the graphic novel. But I thought it was very well adapted. Basically I only have four words to describe it though: Glowing Blue Male Genitalia.
(I'm so immature he he)
Other than that there's basically nothing else. There's the new Harry Potter Trailer: [link]
which is very dark, and the inferi creep the crap out of me.... Which makes me even more excited! 129 days left BOO YAH!
Okay well I'm off to go play KH II (yeah I know it's taking me forever to finish it)
Have Good Spring Break Everyone !!!!
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
I"Once someone dreams a dream, it can't just drop out of existence. But if the dreamer can't remember it, what becomes of it? It lives on in Fantastica, deep under earth. There are forgotten dreams stored in many layers. The deeper one digs, the closer they are. All Fantastica rests on a foundation of forgotten dreams."
- Michael Ende "The Never Ending Story"
